Location and Atmosphere

The Pinnistal valley leads from Neustift westward into a barely explored mountain area. The Falbesoner Nockalm is situated on a grassy Alpine ridge with a free view south and west. From here, the Kalkkögel Mountains are particularly well visible.

The Falbesoner Almgebiet has its own special, quiet quality: fewer tourists, more Alpine atmosphere. The Nockalm is the lower part of this Alpine pasture area – the Falbesoner Ochsenalm lies higher up.

Culinary Delights

The cuisine focuses on a snack-style menu: fresh Almkäse, ham, bread, soups, and drinks. The products come from the farm itself or from the surrounding area.

Access / Ascent

Approach to the Pinnistal from Neustift. From the parking lot in the Pinnistal, the ascent takes about 1.5 to 2 hours on a marked trail. The terrain is varied and suitable for families.

Combination Options

  • Falbesoner Ochsenalm: The higher-lying Alpine pasture of the same area, about 1 hour further
  • Pinnisalm and Almwirtschaft Oberiss: Other destinations in the Pinnistal valley, combinable for a day tour
  • Kalkkögel: The striking Kalkgebirge directly above the Alpine pasture area
  • Adolf-Pichler-Hütte: Connection trail in the Pinnistal valley

Tips

  • Pinnistal combination tour: Falbesoner Nockalm and Ochsenalm as a two-day tour
  • Dogs on a leash: Welcome
  • Quiet atmosphere: The Falbesoner Almgebiet is less known – ideal for an undisturbed Alpine day
  • Kalkkögel light: The evening light on the Kalkkögels is particularly beautiful

The Falbesoner Nockalm is a peaceful place in a peaceful valley – the Pinnistal valley shows its finest here.
