Fulpmes & Telfes – the Middle Stubaital

Fulpmes is the second largest municipality in the Stubaital and the terminus of the historic Stubaitalbahn – the tram from Innsbruck. The Schlick 2000 gondola starts directly here, ascending to the Schlickeralm (1,616 m), from where further tours into the Tuxer Voralpen are possible.

The neighbouring village of Telfes lies at the foot of the Serles (2,718 m), the "Holy Mountain of Tyrol" – one of the most distinctive summits of the region. Those wishing to climb the Serles traditionally start in Mieders, the neighbouring village on the eastern side of the valley.

Fulpmes and Telfes are quieter than Neustift – less tourism, more village. Ideal for hikers who want to experience the Stubaital away from the main routes.
