Telfes as a starting point is a quiet village with everything you need and nothing you don’t.

Why this tour?

The Klamperberg lies on the sunny side of the Stubai Valley, west of Telfes. What makes it special: The tour takes you through a mix of forest, meadows, and open terrain, without hours of pedaling through monotone coniferous forest. The variation makes the 2.5 hours enjoyable.

Trail description

Start Telfes in the Stubai Valley (ca. 870 m): Telfes is located on the western valley side of the Stubai Valley, slightly elevated above the valley floor. Good parking at the village square. From the starting point, follow the path towards the Klamperberg, initially on a forest path at the edge of the village.

Lower forest section (ca. km 0.5–4): The forest path gradually climbs through mixed forest. On this section, the gradient is moderate – opportunity to find your rhythm. Between the trees, the view occasionally opens up to the opposite valley side with the Elfer and the Schlick 2000.

Meadow zone (ca. km 4–8, ca. 1,300–1,450 m): The forest gives way to open meadows. In early summer, alpine flowers bloom here, and in summer, cows graze. The path widens, and the view becomes unobstructed. A beautiful, long middle section of the tour, where you can simply ride and take in the scenery.

Klamperberg summit (ca. km 8–10, ca. 1,470 m): The highest point of the tour offers a panoramic view over the middle Stubai Valley, from Schönberg in the north to the first peaks in the south. Rest bench available – ideal for a break with a snack.

Descent (ca. km 10–12): The same forest path back to Telfes. The descent is relaxed and broad enough for controlled, fast riding. Upon arrival, it’s worth stopping at Telfes.
