Rosendorf Telfes – Village Hike

Telfes im Stubai is known as a Rosendorf – and rightly so. Who walks through the village in the summer sees facades, fence edges, and sidewalk edges filled with blooming roses. The village hike Telfes leads through this lively flower village and out into the surrounding cultural landscape.

Why the Rosendorf Hike?

It’s one of the gentlest hikes in the Stubai Valley – no huts, no glacier proximity, no alpine terrain. Instead: a village in full bloom, quiet field roads, pastures, and the typical valley view of the lower Stubaital. For families with small children, pleasure hikers, and all who are looking for something relaxing after an active day in the upper valley.

Trail Description

Start Telfes, Village Square (ca. 960 m): From the village square through the village center – roses can already be seen everywhere here.

Village Center Telfes (km 0.5–2): Church, old farms, rose gardens – take the time to take a look. Especially colorful in July.

Field Roads and Pastures (km 2–8): Out of the village on gentle field roads and pasture paths. View back on the village and the mountain backdrop.

Panorama All Around (km 8–12): The valley shows its calm side here – Serles and Nockspitze in the background.

Return to Telfes (km 12–15.6): Back into the village on the other side of the valley.

• Best Time for Roses: July – then Telfes is in full bloom
