Froneben Alm

Froneben Alm on 1,306 m is one of the lowest accessible Alms in the Stubaital – and that’s their great advantage. The long season from May to October and the short ascent make it the perfect destination for families, older hikers, and all those looking for an uncomplicated Alm rest.

Location and Atmosphere

The Froneben Alm is located in the lower Stubaital in an open, sunny location. The terrain is gently hilly, characterized by meadows and larch forests. The view goes into the lower valley towards Innsbruck. The atmosphere is inviting and relaxed – there’s no mountain climber seriousness here, just the pleasant bustle of a well-visited farm business.

The Alm is intentionally family-oriented: children can move around on the spacious terrain, observe the Alm animals up close, and dine in peace.

Cuisine

The Froneben Alm offers a solid Tyrolean Alm cuisine: Brettljause, warm dishes, pastry dishes, and beverages. For children, there are simple dishes available. The terrace offers many seating options and sun exposure.

Arrival / Ascent

The ascent is the shortest in the Stubaital: 20 to 45 minutes from parking lots in the lower valley. No problem for children from 3 years old. Strollers are possible on part of the way.
