Klamperbergalm

The Klamperbergalm at 1,795 m is situated immediately at the treeline in the calm and less frequented alpine area of the Stubaital. The high Alpine pasture has a distinct alpine character – less tourist activity, more authentic alpine life at an elevation that demands a certain level of physical condition.

Location and Atmosphere

At approximately 1,800 m, the forest ends and the open alpine zone begins. The Klamperbergalm is located in this transition area – a wide area of high alpine terrain with impressive views of the surrounding ridges of the Stubaital. The terrain has a somewhat isolated feel to it: few hikers pass through here, and the silence is a notable feature, not a weakness.

The traditional operation of the alp – meaning: cattle, alpine products, and an atmosphere that shows the Stubaital is more than just a ski resort and glacier bus – is a defining feature.

Culinary Delights

Alpine cheese, butter, fresh milk, cheese platter – these are the basic offerings of the Klamperbergalm. Simple, regional, and delicious. Soups and simple dishes complement the menu seasonally.

Approach/Rise

The ascent requires good physical condition: 2 to 3 hours from starting points in the Stubaital. The terrain is steep in the higher areas, and sturdy footwear is a must.
