Mischbachalm

The Mischbachalm at 1,848 m is one of the high mountain pastures of the Stubaital, shaped by genuine alp character. The short season and slightly remote location ensure that no crowds descend – a fact that regular guests appreciate.

Location and Atmosphere

The Mischbachalm is located on almost 1,900 m in an alp area that is bounded by the tree line from top to bottom. The surroundings are open and expansive: alp meadows, rocky outcrops, a small stream – hence the name. The panorama is impressive, although the highest peaks of the Stubaital are not directly visible from here.

What makes the Mischbachalm special is its untouched state: no cable car, no mass tourism, just a long ascent and the reward that follows.

Cuisine

The kitchen of the Mischbachalm is functional and good: own production alpine cheese, bread and cold cuts, soups, and simple warm dishes. The own milk products are the heart of the offer.

Access / Ascent

The ascent takes around 2 to 3 hours and requires good physical condition. The terrain is steep in the upper part and has no technical difficulties, but is demanding. Sturdy hiking boots are necessary.
