The Panoramarestaurant Elfer on 1.812 m is located at the cable car station of the Elferbahn above Neustift in the Stubaital. In contrast to the Elferhütte (on 2.080 m, a further 300 meters higher) the Panoramarestaurant is comfortably accessible by cable car and open year-round – except in case of technical pauses in the cable car operation.
Location and View
The restaurant is situated on a viewing platform above Neustift, with a free view of the entire Stubaital. From here the panorama is already impressive: valley view, Stubaier Gletscher in the background, the distinctive peaks of the Elfer mountains in the rear.
The Panoramarestaurant is the most accessible viewpoint in the Elfer area – for guests who do not want to or cannot hike, but want to experience the panorama of this location.
Kitchen and Offerings
The restaurant offers a broader range than a typical mountain hut: Tyrolean dishes, salads, snacks, coffee and cake. The kitchen is tailored to a mixed clientele – hikers, cable car guests, families. Hot meals are available throughout the operating hours.
The terrace is weather- and wind-protected and thus also usable in spring and autumn.
Arrival
By Cable Car: The Elferbahn from Neustift drives directly to the station, travel time about 10 minutes. Tickets available at the base station. Cable car operation throughout the year (except during maintenance times).
On Foot: From Neustift on marked paths, about 1.5 hours. Those who hike up and take the cable car down save the cable car fee for one direction.
